Placemat meadow dream 35×48 – Ekelunds

100% cotton placemat from Ekelunds – 35×48 cm

Make your everyday meals a little fancier. Place over a tablecloth or directly on the table.
A placemat also protects from scratches and smudges and muffles the sound of rattling around the table.

We have a matching towel with the same pattern!

After washing, it is enough to shake out the placemat before hanging it up to dry. This way you can use your placemat year after year.
If you get a stain, use our Galltvål.

All Ekelund’s textiles are made from 100% organic raw materials and are produced in Ekelund’s own weaving mill in Horred, Sweden.

Washing instructions:
Machine wash 60°C. Washable with similar colors without fabric softener. The towel should not be tumble dried. After washing, shake out the towel thoroughly and hang it up to dry. For best results, iron the towel slightly damp lengthwise. For extra good results, shape the towel immediately after you shake it out. The dimension given is an approximate dimension that the product should hold after washing.

About Ekelunds

In the heart of Västra Götaland, in the village of Horred, you will find Ekelunds Linneväveri – Sweden’s oldest weaving mill and a real gem in the Swedish craft tradition.

At a time when so much is being outsourced, Ekelunds has chosen to stay in Sweden and Horred. It’s where Ekelunds once started, and they value the craftsmanship and knowledge that has been passed down through generations. They see great value in having the history behind them, the expertise in-house and control over the entire manufacturing process. This means keeping an eye on quality, while also helping to keep the village alive and safeguarding traditional crafts. For example, a towel from Ekelund is genuinely made by real people. We at Valfrids appreciate that, and we think you do, too!
