Wool-blend socks – beige heather, sizes 37-41
Beige heathered classic wool socks from Ireland. The yarn is Donegal Yarn, a 100% wool blend from Ireland and England. The yarn is produced at a century-old spinning mill in Ireland, where it is still made using traditional methods. It contains no synthetic materials such as acrylic or polyester. It’s not easy to find these days.
- 100% wool blend from Ireland and England—no acrylic or synthetic materials in these socks!
- Knitted using a special technique that gives it elasticity and a great fit, so it stays up on your leg
- Avoid Microplastics
Unlike other wool socks, a special knitting technique is used to make them slightly elastic. This keeps them in place on the leg without slipping down or feeling too tight.
Warm and cozy! But they’re also prone to wear and tear since no synthetic materials have been mixed in—which is, of course, the whole point of them! No plastic, acrylic, or polyester. That makes them more delicate, but at the same time much warmer and healthier. When you wear the acrylic-blend fleece socks that are common today, they wear down and leave microplastics on your floors, which are then stirred up and turn into unhealthy dust. At Valfrids, we’re doing a “plastic detox”—all of that has to go!
If you get a hole in your knitted wool socks, don’t throw them away—instead, watch a video on how to darn your socks. It’s not hard, and it’s actually kind of fun! That’s how our ancestors did it. A lot of things were better back then—they didn’t wear plastic socks.
We recommend hand-washing or machine-washing at a maximum of 30 degrees. Hang the socks to dry. Do not tumble dry, as this may cause them to shrink. If you have a washing machine with a hand-wash cycle, you can wash them that way—that’s what we do. Feel free to use our gentle wool detergent from Gröna Gredelina.
Available in sizes 37–41 and 42–46.
