Bitter Apricot Kernels – Mother Earth Organic 500g

Our organic apricot kernels are of raw cheese quality. You eat them as they are.

Amygdalin is found in many foods, but those particularly rich in amygdalin have largely disappeared from the Western diet. If you are interested in these, you probably know what they are and what they are used for.

Don’t eat too many apricot kernels! Amygdalin can be converted to hydrogen cyanide after ingestion. Which is the point, but moderate is best. The recommended dose is 2 pieces per day (or as prescribed by a naturopath). Excessive intake can cause nausea, vomiting, dizziness, palpitations, etc. Keep the apricot kernels out of reach of children. Apricot kernels are similar to almonds and the appearance can be confused.
