Eucalyptus oil from India has a wonderfully fresh scent with a hint of menthol. Eucalyptus is a genus of trees native to Australia. It doesn’t always grow as a tree; sometimes it grows as a shrub. The essential oil is extracted by distilling the blue-green leaves or branches of the young plant. This oil is made from the leaves of Eucalyptus globulus, which contain the highest concentration of the active ingredient eucalyptol and are therefore one of the most highly valued forms of eucalyptus oil.

The oil can be used in combination with other oils or in creams to create your own skincare products. It can also be used in humidifiers to create a fresh scent at home and as an ingredient in mosquito repellents effective against many types of insects. Eucalyptus has a slightly cooling effect when mixed with, for example, almond oil for massage, and its menthol scent is invigorating. It blends well with all citrus oils and peppermint, as well as with aromatic and herbal oils such as basil, lavender, thyme, ravensara, rosemary, pine needles, and tea tree.
