Coconut Oil 500 ml Pureness

High-quality coconut oil from Pureness (organic)

Coconut oil is used for many things – cooking and frying, smoothies, skincare.

Coconut oil is excellent for heating and is good as a frying fat and cooking oil in your cooking and baking. It contains no trans fats.

It is incredibly useful! You can also use it as a hair wrap, on your skin, make your own skincare products with the oil as a base, use it for shaving, as an ‘after sun’, and for oiling leather, furniture and iron pans. It can even be used to lubricate locks and hinges. It’s also great for “oil pulling”, i.e. rinsing the mouth in case of gingivitis (read more about it online). Coconut oil is antiviral, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory.

How do you make coconut oil? Take a ripe, organically grown coconut from a coconut palm. Press the white pulp in a large press. Out comes organic coconut oil. The oil melts already at 25 degrees Celsius. So if it’s warm outside, the oil is transparent and liquid. If it is at room temperature or cooler, it is whitish and more firm.

There are different ways to get the oil out of the pulp. Pureness oil is cold-pressed, which means no heat was used. Press only, fully mechanical. Such coconut oil is called ‘virgin oil’. There is also cold-pressed and refined oil, but we don’t sell those at Valfrids. Like all our products – tested and approved by us.

Among other things, coconut’s saturated fats are considered exceptionally good for their Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCT) content. MCTs provide quick energy without being stored as fat. It is particularly popular in LCHF and has long been used by bodybuilders.
MCTs are also considered to be particularly beneficial for the brain and have been used successfully in the natural treatment of Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Because it is virgin oil, a mild coconut flavor remains.
Very durable and stored at room temperature.
