NOW Boron 3 mg, 100 capsules

Boron is a mineral with an important function for bones and joints. It is naturally present in a small amount in the bone structure and an adult person has about 10 mg of boron in their body. Boron is particularly important for the metabolism of calcium and magnesium, especially in relation to bone health in menopausal women. It also interacts with vitamin D and helps to prolong the life of vitamin D in the body.

Boron deficiency can also lead to stunted growth, poor bones and inhibited production of estrogen and testosterone. There are studies showing that boron supplementation in men can increase their own testosterone production.
Boron water can be used as a poultice to treat eye swelling and inflammation, for example. Allergic disorders and skin rashes have also been treated with boron supplements.
