Origin Bulgaria

Rose oil (Rosa Damascena) from Bulgaria is an oil reminiscent of luxurious large red roses. It has a rich, warm, sweet scent of the finest rose and is suitable for those who want a romantic and balancing feeling in the home or in your skin care products.

Rose oil is extracted from flowers using alcohol, which makes it slightly easier to blend than other essential oils. It is mainly used in perfume production and aromatherapy, but also in many shower and skin care products. Many beauty creams contain rose oil because it is said to reduce wrinkles and give skin a glow. For example, you can easily make your own rose water (a well-known skincare product for radiance and anti-aging) by mixing 1 drop of rose in 2 dl of distilled water. Rose oil can help with impure skin, and is best mixed with tea tree oil.

In aromatherapy, rose oil can be used as both a sedative and a mood enhancer. Historically, it is also said to be an aphrodisiac and the scent of roses has long reminded us of romance and love. The rose oil goes well with other flower varieties; jasmine, geranium and lavender, but also with citrus scents and herbs such as basil, tea tree and ravensara.
