The major health benefit of aronia is its high polyphenol content. It is a class of substances found in red berries and fruits. In aronia, these are found in exceptionally high levels, along with other beneficial substances such as vitamins, iodine, minerals, catechins and more. Polyphenols have many positive effects on our health. It is traditionally used, especially in Eastern Europe, for cardiovascular health, blood sugar problems, immune system, inflammation, IBS, thyroid problems, general well-being, recovery (e.g. during exercise), tumors, eye health, detoxification and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

How to Drink Aronia Juice – Recommended Dosage<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

We recommend 0.5dl\/day. Therapeutically it is used 0.5dl twice\/day or up to three times\/day.
\n<\/span>Keep in mind that this is not a “thirst quencher”, it is rather a natural medicine. Polyphenols are good for the body, but more is not better, just enough is best.

Sometimes we hear that people think that aronia juice is sour and bitter. It can be, but not this one! Aroniada’s aronia juice is a little rough (tannins), but not sour. The taste is complex and, thanks to Aroniada’s unique pressing method and the fact that it is unfiltered, quite thick in consistency. The good taste comes from many hours of sunshine in a Mediterranean-like climate, where the berries have been allowed to grow slowly without artificial fertilizers or chemicals.<\/span><\/p>\n

Quality and Origin – From Rural Bulgaria to Your Bottle<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

Aronia juice from Aroniada is grown in the Bulgarian countryside, on land that has never been sprayed with chemicals, never fertilized. The berries are picked at the peak of their ripeness and taken to the nearby in-house facility where they are pressed immediately after harvest in a proprietary process. This means that from harvest to bottle is no more than three-quarters of a mile – the berries are never frozen and are not transported far. This is probably the finest aronia juice in the world. Once you’ve had this, you won’t want anything else.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our aronia juice from Aroniada in Bulgaria is known as the finest aronia juice you can get. When used in scientific studies (there is a lot of research on chokeberries in Eastern Europe), chokeberries are used because they have a high and stable content of polyphenols.<\/span><\/p>\n

Long Shelf Life and Storage of Aronia Juice<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n

It is ‘flash pasteurized’ (about 92 degrees for a couple of seconds and then cooled), like all bottled juices, so as not to cause fermentation. It does not affect the polyphenols, which are the great advantage of aronia juice. The shelf life is very long. The best-before date should be at least one year on the bottles you receive. Unopened, it can be left at room temperature. Opened, it must be kept in the refrigerator, where it should be drunk one month after opening.<\/span><\/p>\n
